FACTS
  • The D. G. Ruparel College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Mumbai, was established in 1952 by the Modern Education Society, Pune.

  • Since 1976, the Government of Maharashtra decided to have Junior College Classes (Higher Secondary Classes) with the Degree College.

  • Various Vocational Courses of Bi-focal type were introduced at + 2 stage in the year 1980.

ACADEMICS
Accreditation
From 1980 - 81 University of Mumbai accorded its sanction to the graduate classes in faculty of Commerce. In addition to these classes under University of Mumbai the college is a centre for conducting the classes of Graduate Courses under Institute of Distance Education of University of Mumbai.

The Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Nasik has a jurisdiction, all over the state of Maharashtra. D. G. Ruparel is considered as a centre to conduct the Graduate courses of this University. Further the Post - Graudate courses offered by the University in Library Science and Business Administration are also conducted in D. G. Ruparel.
