FACTS
The D. G. Ruparel College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Mumbai, was established in 1952 by the Modern Education Society, Pune.
Since 1976, the Government of Maharashtra decided to have Junior College Classes (Higher Secondary Classes) with the Degree College.
Various Vocational Courses of Bi-focal type were introduced at + 2 stage in the year 1980.

From 1980 - 81 University of Mumbai accorded its sanction to the graduate classes in faculty of Commerce. In addition to these classes under University of Mumbai the college is a centre for conducting the classes of Graduate Courses under Institute of Distance Education of University of Mumbai.
The Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Nasik has a jurisdiction, all over the state of Maharashtra. D. G. Ruparel is considered as a centre to conduct the Graduate courses of this University. Further the Post - Graudate courses offered by the University in Library Science and Business Administration are also conducted in D. G. Ruparel.
